2 (Two) American cottage clocks: (1) Upson Brothers, Marion, Conn., shelf clock, mahogany veneered case, painted metal dial, fleur de lis hands, 8 day, time and strike spring driven brass movement. c1850 This clock was made by the Forestville Manufacturing Co. and supplied to them. (2) Forestville Manufacturing Co., (J.C. Brown), Bristol, Conn., shelf clock, rosewood veneered case, painted metal dial, 8 day, time and strike spring driven brass movement. c1850.

Circa
(1) Mahogany veneered case in an original finish has a ding a a small chip on the front molding. The gilt decoration on the base is pretty much worn off. The gilt decoration on the door is worn in places with loss to the background. Original bottom tablet has minor loss. Repainted dial. Original hands. Clean label inside. (2) Rosewood veneered case in original finish has a small chip on the base right side and some veneer damage on the upper left side. Top door tablet is nice with loss to the lower panel Original painted dial has loss, inpainted areas and wear to the numbers. Clean label inside.
