Birds, Beasts and Flowers, Poems by D.H. Lawrence. The Cresset Press LTD, London, 1930. Limited edition number 18 of 500 on mould-made paper. Oversize book, 9" x 13.75." Cream quarter cloth with decorative paisley paper boards and gilt ruling. 195 pages with elaborate wood-cut engravings by Blair Hughes-Stanton. Boards lightly toned with scant pale stains. The binding is tight and square with slight edgewear to the corner tips. Gilt top stain applied by publisher and rough cut page edges. The interior of the book is clean with no owner names, no bookplates and no bookstore stamps. The pages are clean, bright and flat appearing as unread. A lovely example of this title with spectacular wood-cut engravings. From a scarce limited print run.
