Description

This wonderful Madonna and Child Holy water font is from Herend. The shield crown mark with Hungary below indicates this wonderful religious piece was created between 1915- 1930. Inside the font on the chest of Madonna is a lightly embossed name, unable to decipher, but the last name appears to be Katy. She measures approx 12 3/4" x 7 3/4" x 3".Note: Was unable to find a comparable piece on line so I contacted Herend USA directly for confirmation that this was indeed Herend. It took a few days for the main factory to find it in their catalog, but it was found. See the last photo.
