Description
To the best of my knowledge, there is only one source that clearly talks and pictures this very late modification to the mess kit.

Pics shows the reference by a French author.

According to Éric Lefèvre, the example illustrated in his book is dated 1944 but the maker is not mentioned.

It is made by 'MN' and both dated '45'.

This one is in great condition, retaining most of its paint with only a few minor dents on the back.

The inside bean-shaped separable bowl as well as the inside of the kit are in pristine condition.

Only the body is marked, most probably to save time on the production line.

This unique and ultra rare variation was produced in small numbers as the war drew to its end.
