Fine artistic handmade semi antique Persian Hosseinabad runner. Size 10.4x3.2 feet, made of fine quality baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation, all natural vegetable dye, the lovely rug incorporates allover design on a red background, with a large central medallion; crowned corners and is framed beautifully by a floral design border. Hand woven in Hosseinabad, Iran. The approximate year of origin: 1985-1995. Hosseinabad located in the southern part of Hamadan province, not too far from Malayer and Nahavand. This area is surrounded by many towns and villages that weave their own rugs. The wool and sometimes the rugs themselves are attributed to the Saveh Shah Savan. Hosseinabad produces a variety of different size rugs including very good long runners. The rugs are made with single weft construction and wear well due to sturdy construction."
