Report on the Exploration of the Yellowstone by Bvt. Brig. Gen. W.F. Raynolds communicated by The Secretary of War (Edwin M. Stanton) in compliance with A Resolution of Senate, February 13, 1866, Washington: Government Printing Office, 1868 First Edition, 174 pages with desirable large folding map at back "Map of Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers and their Tributaries" 43" x 29". Printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office in 1868, this report is a journal of Raynolds' & Maynadier's 1859-60 expedition to the Yellowstone River, the report of which was delayed by the Civil War. This copy in very good overall condition with most interior pages being in excellent condition. From a non-smoking home and free of any odors. Provenance: Bob Borcherdt collection. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Buyer must view photographs or scans to assist in determining condition and ask further questions if so desired.
