A DUTCH NEOCLASSICAL GILT BRASS MOUNTED FLAME MAHOGANY LINEN PRESS, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY, with a molded and dentilated cornice on an unadorned frieze, over paired doors with gilt urn and anthemion modeled escutcheons partitioned by a ribbon entwined reed within double ball and reed trim, centering leafy detailed molding with triangular eared corners enclosing paterae and fine inlaid panels of flame mahogany, flanked by corner hinged Corinthian stop-fluted pilasters with nicely cast capitals and base socles, opening to an interior fitted with a short top shelf and a mahogany inlaid middle two drawer shelf above a similarly inlaid three drawer bottom shelf with beaded loop and floret detailed pulls, over a conforming three graduated long drawers case with each having two oval foliate loop and radiating floret brass pulls centering similarly modeled escutcheons, within corner angled scrolled brackets suspending tapering leafy carved pendants over graduated monnaie decoration and raised on short tapering fluted block legs.
