A NAPOLEON III PATINATED METAL FIGURAL CARTEL CLOCK, BY EDOUARD BARRARD & CO., PARIS, 19TH CENTURY, with a circular glass-domed bezel opening to a white enamel dial enclosing black Roman chapters and blued steel Breguet hands above twin key escapements, enclosed by a conforming border with twelve stars and surmounted by a nicely cast scantily draped classical maiden wearing a foliate diadem while holding a spilling amphora, adorned with a similarly attired youth wearing a berried laurel wreath and holding a lyre with each languidly laying over the dial, against a backdrop of grape leaf and vine continuing downsides and ending with a thick grape cluster, verso brass clockworks stamped with oval "FABRIQUE / EARD BARRARD & CIE / DE PARIS," over a circular pastille stamped "MÉDAILLES D'OR / JAPY FRÈRES / ANNÉES / 1823.27.34.39.44.49," numbered "6 4 / 4 54 / 680," suspending a pendulum numbered "680," includes a winding key.
