A LARGE LION IN FROST GLASS AND LUCITE "BUTTERFLY" COFFEE TABLE, AMERICAN, SIGNED, CIRCA 1979, with a beveled edge rectangular glass top, raised on a base of curved butterfly form Lucite supports with hand-engraved signature "Lion in frost" and joined by a conforming polished brass stretcher. Height: 15" Width: 60 1/4" Depth: 59 3/4"  Note: Lion in Frost, Inc., was a furniture manufacturer located in Fort Lauderdale Florida, known for being one of the first to incorporate Lucite as an integral part of table and seat furniture design. The designer of this butterfly coffee table was Leon Frost and it made its' debut in 1979.

Good condition for vintage tables with glass top having some expected scratches, Lucite base has some light scratches and normal scuff marks throughout.
