A Senufo mask, kpelie Côte d'Ivoire Carved wood, the oval face with open mouth, the eyes pierced with slits, arched brow and scarification to the cheeks, three pairs of flanges on each side of the face and two projections emanating from the chin, the forehead topped with a hornbill, rich black patina, raised on a bespoke mount.H: 15 1/4, W: 6 1/2 in.
