An exemplary porcelain B form oval serving tray in the Scattered Flowers pattern, with colorful central flora over a white ground with encircling relief gilt decoration to the inner edge, and two gilded shell form handles. A design modeled during the 1850s Rococo Revival by Ernst August Leuteritz, the heavily gilt raised decoration is made more impressive by the Carolina blue border to the scalloped, heavily gilded rim. Marked to base with blue underglaze crossed swords of the Meissen manufactory, circa 1950. Good overall condition with some gilt wear. Measures 18 in. x 12 1/2 in.
