Description
etching, 14.75 x 11 ib framed: 19.5 x 15.5 in, good condition, etching, The image is decoded through analyses, but this is not the essential aim. Above all, I wish to maintain my roots with nature.Baviera works instinctively, and does not want to be didactic. He is on a narrow path, juggling with an interplay of space and substance, where colors intervene as interpreters of feeling. The movement he tries to create is the opposite to that of other paintings, he wants the space to be one towards which we converge, and he cannot depend on visual phenomena to direct the eye. For this colorist, art is « A means of communication which is deeper than most others. It is the artists role to be a visionary and sensitive being… he must free himself from science and all forms of power. « It appears to be of primary importance for him not to separate mind and matter. This maxim symbolises a search for wisdom which brings an almost mystical perenniality to his work. Its present specific character also comes from the fact that he has never sacrificed technique in his paintings, as others may have done. He considers technique as a tool which allows manual human implication with the media.Solo exhibitions2008 Galerie Visio Dell'Arte, Paris, FranceMaison du Cygne, Six-Fours-les-Plages, FranceGallery Paris, Yokohama, Japon2007 'Utopies sur un fil', Galeries du Fort Napoleon, La-Seyne-sur-Mer, FranceMusee d'art moderne et contemporain, Cordes-sur-Ciel, France'Monde l'an Vert', Musee d'Art et d'Histoire, Draguignan, FrancePrintemps de la gravure, Cannet des Maures, FranceGallery Orie, Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo2006 'L'hymen de la couleur', Galerie La Maison des Arts, Carcès, France'Hautes Presssions', Galerie Transart Café, Antibes, France2005 Librairie Papiers Collés, Draguignan, FranceGalerie Le Biblion, Toulouse, France2004 Galerie La Hune-Brenner, signature du livre 'Dont on fait les paysages', avec Françoise Armengaud, Paris2003 Galerie AA, Clermont-Ferrand, FranceGalerie Moscato, Espace Mirabeau, Aix-en Provence, FranceMKISK, (Maison des Arts), Budapest, HongrieIchigaya-Yanagicho Gallery, Shinjuku, Tokyo, JaponSalon de Fleurs Gallery, Aoyama, Tokyo, JaponGalerie Paris, Yokohame, Japon
