SCOTTISH EARTHENWARE LARGE COVERED BOX, lead-glazed with mottled manganese and copper decoration, slab-built rectangular form with applied handle and bamboo borders, featuring relief oak leaf and acorn designs with treacle glaze. 19th century. 13 1/2" WOA, 9 1/4" DOA, 11 1/8" HOA.
Having an approximately 2 3/4" L chip to base edge, some scattered minor flakes to raised decorations, and minor expected wear to handles and rim; cover having some wear to corners and some minor flakes to underside edge.
