This lot consists of a graphite illustration on paper, executed in the modern style of Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka (Polish, 1898-1980). "32/100. T de Lempicka" is hand written in graphite at lower left. This image depicts a blonde woman in a rippling, emerald green gown. This drawing is executed in the sleek, Art Deco style for which Tamara de Lempicka is so well known. Unframed piece measures approximately 11.75" x 8.25".

Tamara de Lempicka, described as the first woman artist to be a glamour star, is known for her Art Deco-styled portraits of sexy, bedroom-eyed women in stylish dress and haunting poses. Her clear, strong style, sometimes called Soft Cubism, earned her a place at the top of the Art-Deco movement.
