This lot consists of an unframed aerosol stencil metal road sign, done in the contemporary pop art style of street artist Banksy (British, 1974 -). Image depicts a couple with antiquated scuba helmets on their heads in an otherwise intimate embrace. Done in the contemporary graffiti style for which the enigmatic street artist Banksy is so well known. This simple, offbeat piece would make a great addition to any contemporary art collector's gallery. Unframed measures approximately 23.5" diameter.

Banksy is an anonymous English-based street artist, vandal, political activist and painter. He combines dark humor with graffiti, all done in a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.

Metal sign has bumps, holes and bends where it was once hung outside. However the stencil is solidly adhered to the metal. Image and signature are bright, vibrant and show very well.
