American Reverse Painted Patinated Spelter and Cast Iron Table Lamp, c. 1920, by the H. E. Rainaud Co., of Meriden Ct., the frosted reverse painted domed floral decorated shade on a tapered relief spelter support, to a circular cast iron base, the underside marked "A & R CO., 6," H.- 22 1/2 in., Dia.- 15 7/8 in. Provenance: from a collection of an antiquarian, Amite, Louisiana.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Loss of patination to columnar support. Shade has a yellowish cast to it, could be cigarette smoke that will wash off. Would benefit from a cleaning. A lovely example.
