With cream lozenge form body, moulded long-necked goose spout supported by extended arm and hand. Bird head finial and moulded S-shaped handle. Body and lid embossed with moulded shell and Greek key motifs, on raised foot. Staffordshire, c.1740-60.

There is evidence of restoration, particularly around lid and foot. Multiple cracks that have been repaired in lid, with noted firing crack. Small crack extending from rim to body approx. 3 cm, small chip with corner edge on body.
