1791 RARE Morse Geography Made Easy Boston Indians MAPS Atlas Asia
Jedidiah Morse was an important and prominent geographer known for his American textbooks, books that earned him the name ‘father of American geography.’ His most famous book was ‘American Universal Geography,’ which outlined and detailed all of the known countries and parts of the world. An abridged edition was also printed for use in schools which was given the title ‘Geography Made Easy’ – a work which Howes refers to as “the first American school geography and first American book describing the western country.”
This 1791 edition includes fine maps, as expected in such atlases.
