Description
3rd-1st century BC. A set of five graduated annular brooches comprising bow and catch-plate within the ring; various designs, including: one larger without pin, bow decorated with three lines of pointillé between two horizontal bands top and bottom, followed by X shapes and further horizontal bands; one with bow featuring double-scalloped motif at either end, joined by a prominent raised ridge. Ex North London gentleman; formerly in an important European private collection formed between 1980 and 2000. [5]
