5th-3rd century BC. A ceramic greyware rhyton with bulbous tubular body and flared mouth, tapering to the foreparts of a horse with detailing to the eyes, mane and bridle, forelegs extended. 704 grams, 23.5cm (9"). Property of a Suffolk collector; formerly acquired on the European art market in the 1990s.
