Description
A vintage pair of reverse painted, decoupage and gilt glass table lamps from the estate of Estelle Goodman (1930-2007, American). This pair of table lamps each has a black painted metal base, a glass cylinder that has been reverse painted, decoupaged and gilt, a black painted metal top with attached harps and metal finials. The designs in each lamp are similar. One lamp has a pair of rearing bucks wearing collars on either side of an architectural detail resembling a crowned crest. The words Tien. Ta. Foy. are presented on a ribbon under the architectural element. The other lamp has a pair of rearing winged bucks on either side of an architectural detail resembling a crest with a crown at the top. The words Loyal. Devoir. are presented on a ribbon under the architectural element. The overall height from the base to the top of the finial is approximately 32.5 in. The approximate height From the base to just below the socket is 17.5 in. The approximate diameter of the base is 7.5 in. The lamps are in current working condition, they have not been rewired.
