Maynard Dixon (1875-1946). Title: Costume Sketch - Tucson: c. 1860-1880 - Peon. 8.25" x 4.5" pen and ink on paper, c. 1944. 14.75" x 10" framed size. Signed "MD" lower left corner. Ex Linda Ronstadt's family collection, who were friends and neighbors of Maynard Dixon. Exhibited "Maynard Dixon's New Mexico Centennial" El Museo de Cultural, Santa Fe, NM, August 8-16, 2018. Published on page 339, "Maynard Dixon's American West: Along the Distant MesaÂ” by Mark Sublette. The book is included with this drawing. The book is 524 pages with over 650 illustrations, and it retails for $95. Exhibited "Along the Distant Mesa: An Homage to Maynard Dixon" Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery, Tucson, Arizona, March 8-April 30, 2019. Framed behind glass. There is a red circle with the number 4 in the center drawn in the lower right corner.

Condition

The drawing is in very good condition. There are no tears to the paper. There is only minor surface wear in the upper right, lower left, and lower right areas. The frame is in excellent condition.
