O'Neill served as the team leader of the first mission to Abydos, then later became commander of Sierra Golf One for eight years. He was then promoted to leader of Stargate Command, a position he filled for a year before transferring to Homeworld Security at the Pentagon.

Black nylon mesh tactical vest with zipper front, lace-up sides, six horizontal belly pockets with Velcro closures, two vertical chest pockets with Velcro closures, left chest pocket is production modified to accommodate a radio antenna, several pockets have blocks of black foam inside, webbing buckle on each shoulder, webbing and snap belt loops, back has three strips of webbing loops. Black nylon webbing adjustable P90 shoulder harness with Fastex buckle, is missing center buckle connector.
