Daniel Mendoza & Richard Humphreys, engraved by I. Grozer after C. R. Ryley, hand-colored stipple engraving, London, ca. 1790, Dimensions of plate: 26X31 cm. Featured text: “Daniel Mendoza and Richard Humphreys. This Boxing Match Took Place at Doncaster Sept. 29th 1790 on a Twenty Four Foot Stage and was the Third Public Contest Between the Two Pugilists. It Lasted for about an Hour and Five Minutes and was Decided in Favor of Mendoza.” Framed, light foxing (not examined out of frame).
