In this letter ALFRED STIEGLITZ is responding to a request for a print from September 1944 ASG # AS/1404

The Letter is in Stieglitz's flowing black pen:

"An American Place
January 6, 1945
Dear Harry L. Marshall Jr.,
I wonder did I ever thank you for your letter of Sept 4th I just ran across it.

As for the photograph of mine you refer to I don't think there is a print available. And I have not been able to print a photograph in many years.

I'm glad you like America & Alfred Stieglitz. I often wonder am I worthy of it.

Did you ever hear of "Twice A Year" Dorothy Norman's Quarterly. No's 7 & 8. and X-XI- 2 volumes contain much about me & my work. - The issues are virtually out of print.

They are still available and $4.00 each.
