Title: Detailed ship model of U.S. Revenue Cutter Levi Woodbury
Provenance/Additional Info: This is a very detailed ship model from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It isbuilt from wood, with wire, cord, leather, and metal details. The paintedsurface has some fine crazing. The name "Levi Woodbury" is embossed intothe end of the wooden base. It measures 17 3/4" long by 13 1/2" high by 4"wide. There is some minor loss to the rigging and some wear to the paint,especially on the surface of the waves, but the condition overall is very good,with a strong look. A card taped to the bottom reads: "U.S. Revenue CutterLevi Woodbury Built 1864. Served on the Maine Coast 1864 - 1915. Ref:Steamboat Lore of the Penobscot, Richardson p.10."
