MORGAN FRANK: (1890-1949) American Character Actor, portrayed the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz (1939). Vintage signed and inscribed 10 x 13 photograph, a good head and shoulders study of Morgan, in costume as Major Horatio Chatteris, alongside English actress and comedienne Cicely Courtneidge, shown in costume as April Maye, in a publicity portrait for the film The Perfect Gentleman (1935). Photograph by Ted Allen for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and bearing his credit stamp to the verso. Signed in bold green fountain pen ink to the clear background by Morgan, 'To Pam - with vicarious affection because I'm terribly fond of your mother & don't tell ''Dad''. Sincerely, Frank Morgan'.
