Description
Three Vintage Working Decoys. All with wear, splits to wood. See photos. 1- Black Duck Decoy, Philadelphia Area, first half 20th c 14" long. 2 - Ed Sitko Mallard Hen Decoy, signed. Beak has crack. 13" long. Ed was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, especially at the shore in the Brigantine area, and fishing on the Delaware River. He was a talented duck hunter, and a well-known decoy carver. Ed, together with his decoys, was featured in Ducks Unlimited magazine, and his decoys were displayed at the Tuckerton Seaport Museum. He was a skilled trap and skeet shooting marksman – a hobby he engaged in whenever he could. He was also a craftsman and built duck boats. 3- Black Duck Decoy 16". Weight on all 7 pds. PROVENANCE: Gippy Plantation, Berkeley County. SC.
