German bisque head with mark to back of the neck (no chips, cracks or repairs), blue eyes that open and close, celluloid hands and soft body with a sound box and string to the back (not in working order). Measures approximately 29" from head tofoot of gown and the body measures approximately 11" long. three handmade dresses, one blanket and the baby is wearing a nappy and crocheted booties. In overall good condition consistent with age and use. From the private collection of Roulhac Toledano, noted author, historian, artist, and tireless promoter of Charlottesville.
