For your consideration is an antique silverplate rolltop food warmer emblazoned with the crest of Sir Archibald Campbell Lawrie of Scotland. There are no maker's marks noted, only an "F" stamped into the bottom of one of the feet.
Sir Archibald Campbell Lawrie (1837 - 1914)In 1872, appointed Judge in District Court of Kandy, Ceylon, and in 1892 was selected as Senior Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of British Ceylon. He retired in 1901 and was appointed Knight Bachelor by King Edward VII later that year. His life was filled with accomplishments and he was a consummate Scottish legal historian.
