Description
A group of stone domestic animal figures and a gaming piece, Proto-Historic, c. AD 1500 - 1700. The largest depicts a pair of sheep, another with a ram and two ewes and the smaller depicts two rams. All the animals are carved in the round and stand on square to rectangular bases. Also includes is a gaming piece, ovoid in shape with domed back and flattened base with two circles incised. Largest measures 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.8 cm. Ex collection of Prof. Theodore Gaster; Ex Florida private collection acquired from the estate of Prof. Gaster in 1992.
