The pages lightly soiled, some minor edge wear, uniform tone, all original string bound. Ursula Griswold was the wife of Connecticut Governor Matthew Griswold. Matthew Griswold (1714-1799) was the 17th Governor of Connecticut (1784-1786). He also served as the First Lieutenant Governor and Chief Justice of the Superior Court, during the American Revolution (1769"1784). A historic State of Connecticut early American Sermon for the wife of the Governor.
