Oceania, Polynesia, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A beautiful shallow bowl or tray woven from natural fibers, probably those of a coconut. Alternating directions and lengths of weave create a radiating arrow pattern in the wide center and a curved rim around the shallow wall. Size: 22.7" W x 2.55" H (57.7 cm x 6.5 cm)
