Description
Please search WESTPORT AUCTION on YouTube to view our channel and see a video preview of this guitar being played. Introduced in 1962, the Dove was Gibson’s second square-shoulder dreadnought after the Hummingbird. The Dove model features a longer scale length, giving it a louder and brighter sound than its Hummingbird counterpart, and maple back and sides with a spruce top. This 1968 Gibson Dove is in natural finish, one of the two original finishes offered. The ornate, engraved and inlaid pickguard is one of the visual details that make this model a particularly iconic Gibson acoustic guitar. Known for its rich, robust tone, the Dove has been a favorite of many famous artists including Emmylou Harris and Alex Lifeson. All original guitar. Natural finish. Adjustable bridge. Non-original case
