Please search WESTPORT AUCTION on YouTube to view our channel and see a video preview of this guitar being played.One of the most famous jazz guitars in history, the Gibson ES-175 debuted in 1949 as a mid-level model and features a hollow-body with a sharp Florentine cutaway. This early model is a PAF pickup version with an all-laminate construction in sunburst finish, which allows for better management of feedback at higher volumes. The PAF humbucker pickups, introduced to the model in February 1957, give the guitar a full, rich tone, prized by jazz guitarists. Despite being marketed as a jazz guitar, the ES-175 has been well-loved in all genres from rock to country and has been enjoyed by many notable musicians including Steve Howe, Pat Metheny, and Joe Pass.Sunburst finish. All original. First year PAF pickup. V factory order number Original brown and pink case.Missing one truss rod cover screw. Some wood damage near output jack. Output jack has been replaced. Some minor damage to headstock near B-string ferrule.
