Description
Five pieces. Ca 1960’s. Jonathan Locke (1901-1974) Titusville,PA. Locke began as an apprentice to Joel Hewes in 1914 and spent his entire working life in his workshop. When Hewes retired in the early 1950’s, Locke took over the shop and continued to produce fine hammered silver piece of similar style. Five pieces include an 8 inch tray, two 5 ¾ inch bowls and two 5 ½ inch bowls. Bowls in flora form with seven petal-like panels, tray with crimped edge. Signed Jonathan L. Locke, Hand Made, Sterling. Approximately 35.49 troy ounces.
