Old Master - Pyramus and Thisbe
Four men, wearing furs, turbans and long robes trimmed with tassels, tearing their hair, beating their breasts, grieving the death of Pyramus and Thisbe, who lie on the ground, she holding a sword at her side, one man holding a flaming torch, with crumbling, overgrown city walls behind them and a search party carrying torches in the background to left; after Bramer.
Inscription: Lettered below the image with the title, a dedication from the publisher to Henry Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, around a crest bearing the motto 'Ung Je Serviray' and 'Leod. Bramer pinxit, / J. Boydell excudit. / P.C. Canot sculpsit / Vol. II. No 25. / London, Published April 7th. 1768.'.
