Notes & Literature Normah Knight's education consists of SMU, Dallas Art Institute, Federal School, Inc. in Minneapolis, and Julian Academy in Paris, France, The Schuler School of Fine Art in Baltimore, MD. She studied with Harry Anthony DeYoung, Peter Hondstedt, Gean Cromwell, Frank J. Reilly, Richard Seyfert, Henry Gasser and Frederic Taubes. Governor and Mrs. John Connally invited Normah to take part in the Governor's Conference on the Arts to establish the Texas Fine Arts Commission (1968). She was officially appointed to head the development of art in the Rio Grande Valley. She was head of the Cultural Arts Program for the State of Texas in the Rio Grande Valley for ten years. Normah received many special honors.
Condition: Painting is very good. Nice bright colors. Frame and matting is poor and should be replaced to do justice to the painting.
