Ancient Egyptian scribe & palette, ex-museum, Possibly c. 2700 BCE, carved and painted wood with movable arms, this miniature depicting a kneeling scribe before his writing instrument was found in a pyramid, where it was placed to serve the deceased in the afterlife, mounted to red painted wood stand under clear acrylic display, 3.5"h (figure), 5.5"h x 5.5"w x 8"d (case and stand)
