Description
There are three front page flonges (molds) from an Auburn, NY newspaper. These are negative molds made of some form of cellulose and used to create the lead plates from which the newspaper was printed. They can be read directly and reveal what front page news the American public was seeing at war's end. Headlines read; "Germany will yield" "Republic cries Berlin" "Complete surrender". Size: 21 x 16 1/2 in. each. Condition: fair to good with some losses to cellulose. Â
