tempera/cardboard, 44,5 x 60 cm, signed bottom right Ant. Hudecek 1935, authenticity verified by Phdr. Mgr. M. Zachar, framed, glass Antonin Hudecek is a 19th/20th Century Czech landscape painter, born in 1872 in Loucka u radhoste, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now Czechia.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (under professors M. Pirner and V. Brozik). The subject of his works are bohemian landscapes, especially around Okor, Kolin and Prague. Hudecek traveled to Italy, Slovakia and Carpathian Ruthenia. He focused mainly on landscape painting and was artistically influenced by the work of Julius Marak. Hudecek's works are included in many private and state collections around the world (e.g. the National Gallery in Prague).
