Description
An Egyptian bronze standing figure of Osiris, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing Atef crown with uraeus and false beard, arms folded across chest, hands holding a crook and flail. On each shoulder is a double uraeus wearing a solar headdress. H: 3 3/5 in (9.1cm). Encrusted surfaces and wax applied to the surfaces. A scarcer type with the double cobras on the shoulders. Mounted on a custom base. Ex Massachusetts private collection.
