Art Deco Painted Enamel Flat Mesh Flapper Evening Purse Embellished Chain. This rare and exquisite Flapper-era mesh purse is a work of art! Painted in enamel jewel tones to form a geometric design, it features fine detailing such as a painted enamel pistachio green border, decorative chain with enameled stations and Van Dyke fringe bottom. There are areas of paint loss and scratches to the frame as shown, but the flat mesh body is free of rips or damage and is dynamic and fluid. There is no lining to the interior of the bag. The hinges are intact and in working condition. Please note, the metal button for the closure is missing. While the bag stays closed loosely, it does not currently snap shut. The chain is intact and secure. There is a tiny illegible maker's mark on the inside frame, as shown, possibly European in origin.
