Antique Victorian or Edwardian Owls on a Branch Bar Pin. This whimsical, Victorian or Edwardian bar pin depicting a pair of owls on a branch is in very good condition for its age with surface and use wear, as shown. It appears to made of plated silver which has a great patina. The owls are cleverly riveted to the branch giving the piece a 2-dimensional quality. The owl on the left is slightly loose. Their sparkling, prong-set emerald eyes appear genuine, but have not been tested. The brooch's "safety pin" type closure is in good working order, as is the hinge. The brooch is approximately 2 1/2" x 1/2" and weighs 6 gms.
