Condition is consistent with age. Canvas shows signs of restoration. There is a long vertical line, (approximately H.- 9 in., W.- 3 in.) in the form of a backwards “L”, showing a previous tear in the painting, located on the proper left center of the painting, over her arms. Additionally, painting shows signs of re-stretching and framing as there are slight creases around border of painting. The painting has been reinforced with a new canvas backing. There is slight paint flecking near the seam of woman’s corset and skirt. There is additional paint loss visible along bottom of painting. Frame in good condition, some chipping to bottom proper right side corner.
