Vintage Art Deco Diamond Wedding Ring Set - in original black and pink velvet box. Size 7. The wedding band is marked 18kt and tests as 18kt, the engagement ring you can only read the K and that tests as 14kt. The diamond is appx. 3.2 mm across - I believe the stone to be .18 ctw-.20 ctw based on the measurements I can take. It has the Old European cut with the shorter table and higher crown above the girdle of the ring. It is a round cut. The engagement ring and wedding band are white gold. The engagement ring has an art deco setting matching its age with a ridged wider band at the top and is 3.9mm wide at the top shoulders and tapers down to 1.1mm at the back of the finger. There is expected wear on the band. The wedding band is a rounded band - smooth on the rounded part with visible groves around the band - it is 1.5mm wide. Neither ring is marked by the maker. The box it comes in is a footed velvet box with black velvet inside and outside and pink velvet on the outside and pink satin on the inside headliner to the lid. A mother-of-pearl button finishes off the details. It is unusual to find these boxes in this good condition - very appealing for a vintage piece and for someone who loves the older pieces.
