Antique Sterling Silver Mesh Purse/Chatelaine. - Art Nouveau 1895-1910. Floral design on top with the classic art nouveau women with low flowing hair. Push Button clasp. Hinged wide opening top. It is 5.5" long and 4.75" wide from hinge-point to hinge-point. It is signed with a D inside a triangular frame on the back and marked sterling silver. The back is flat without the same design as is on the front. It has a chunky round alternating link handle with a large circle ring in the center made for hanging off a woman's outfit back in the day. It is well-preserved for it's age with damage that I could see. I was very fortunate to find this one (and another). I'd say very good condition especially being well over 100 years old. This came from a PA estate auction - see photos. (Lot. Loc. W.92218.12X1 - LD 10/16/18).
