This is one of the most sought-after images in the poster-collecting field. Gunther Kieser created this masterpiece for a January 19, 1969 performance in Stuttgart, Germany. The original poster carries the correct concert date of January 19, 1969 in the lower portion, while the merchandise posters carry an incorrect date of January 15 (Hendrix was in Berlin that day). Due to the tremendous popularity of this image, it has been printed at least four times and bootlegged several more. This poster is from the authorized printing done by ArtRock in conjunction with the artist. There were several versions printed; this is the largest one and was produced in an edition of 500 signed and numbered pieces. This poster has been signed and numbered 235/500 by Gunther Kieser.
