Description
Fine early 19th Century American painted tin / tole coffee pot with exceptional decoration.
Each side has three large flowers and one flowering branch in unusual colors of grey, blue, orange and yellow. Other decoration includes green leaves with yellow veining, yellow swags at the rim and on the top and handle, and metallic copper outlining on most of the seams. The decorations is on an asphaltum background.
A tag on the bottom says Hayes, which could refer to a collection, a maker or perhaps a previous owner. Inside is a folded up 1984 news
The coffee pot is in good condition with some minor denting. The decoration is mostly intact. with significant wear to the asphaltum background.
Measures about 7 3/4" tall to the top of the handle.
