Jean Du Breuil was a 17th-century Jesuit mathematician and essayist from France. He is most remembered for his contributions and theories to the practice of perspective. He studied architecture in Rome which helped him create his famous work ‘The Practice of Perspective’, which first appeared in 1642.



The illustrations in this work make it extremely desirable. Includes 120 individual full-page illustrations that depict landscapes, gardens, buildings, furniture, architecture parts, rules of drawing, walls, facades, and more. It proved to be an extremely important and useful book for artists, architects, builders, and other investing in material design.
